Jeanie Linders

Writer & Producer

Jeanie Linders is the writer and producer of the critically acclaimed, international smash hit, Menopause The Musical®. In 15 countries, the show has created an empowering sisterhood. Over the past 30 years Ms. Linders has also been active as an arts development consultant in FL, CA, NC and AR. She served as president/CEO of an ad agency specializing in entertainment and hospitality, and concurrently launched an events marketing and management firm producing a variety of shows from A Conversation with Cary Grant to multistage music festivals. Other past activities include: advance PR roadie for Michael Jackson’s film crew for the Victory Tour, developing the Belize Performing and Visual Arts Consortium and working for Francis Ford Coppola’s Blancaneaux Lodge in Central America. She also served as a columnist/correspondent for outlets as diverse as the Chicago Tribune, the Sun-Times, Boston Globe, and Variety.

Ms. Linders is a native of Illinois, and earned her graduate degree from Northern Illinois University. In 2007, she was honored in Dixon, IL, President Ronald Reagan’s hometown, as an individual who has gone on to fulfill her life in meaningful ways and has made her hometown proud. She has written a book of poetry for and about women called Woman-Kind and was featured in Fearless Women: Midlife Portraits in 2005.

With the 10-year anniversary of her show phenomenon, Jeanie decided to embrace another important time of a woman’s life…being a mom.  As writer and lyricist, she joined forces with Marilyn Kentz and Caryl Kristensen from the 90’s NBC sitcom The Mommies to develop a show unlike any other theatrical show.  The Mommies – A Musical Blog™ celebrates the life of mommies all over the world.  With the humor of The Mommies sitcom, the musical version steps into the 21st Century and embraces the digital age of the life of today’s moms.

While Jeanie Linders is best known as a writer and producer, she is also a passionate voice for women. She founded the nonprofit organization Jeanie C. Linders Fund® that specifically focuses on women, as they possess the power and the desire to help not only their families, but their communities as well. When audiences attend Menopause The Musical® or The Mommies – A Musical Blog™, they are helping to heal women who have been sexually assaulted, raise awareness about ovarian cancer, and rebuild homes and hopes for women and their families who have survived natural disasters around the globe – from Alaska to Africa.

Known as LaMama in the office, Jeanie is mother to two white Coton de Tulears, Maddie and Moxie.
